It’s intended use is to be able to connect a second PC, connencted in the (W)LAN, and use it as (an extra) monitor for the projectection or stage screens.
So both have to ‘see’ each other and ports, nickname and passwrods have to be defined and exchanged for proper data transfer. You find that in the settings page in the multicast tab.

    Dear Falco,
Please write your questions in English, as this is an international forum.

    Google translate says:
Hi everyone, I still haven’t fully understood how easyslides 5 multicast works. Could anyone give me some explanation?

Hi, Sorry for a late reply.

Adding a Biblefile (HB) is not just putting the HB file in The HB folder. Following is the correct procedure:

Just put the new file somewhere, but not in the HB folder.
Open EasySlides (ES) and click on the TAB ‘Bibles’.
ON the top of the window, right from the ‘2’, is the biblemanagement settings Icon
    Click it.
This window has 4 tabs: Click the most right tab’ FileImport’
Now navigate , using the folder icon, located just left of the ‘Add’ button, to your HB file.
    Click ‘Add’.
    A succes message appears.
In ES The new HB is accesable and also readable and the file is copied into the HB folder in the EasySlidesData structure.
    This should do the job.

    Hi Norman.

It’s quite easy but a bit different in v5 compared to the older descriptions for version 4.x

Note the figure ‘2’ on the right side of the selectionbox for the bible to use.
If you click this number, the selectionbox will split into two boxes and in the second box you now select the other bible.
Now select a biblebook and chapter and some verses , and the dual display is visible in the preview.

Just Try a repair of WMP:
Select Start > Settings > Apps > Installed Apps. Scroll down and click the three horizontal dots next to Windows Media Player and choose Advanced options, and click the Repair or Reset button.

    Or a reinstall:
Click the Start button, type features, and select Turn Windows features on or off. Scroll down and expand Media Features, clear the Windows Media Player check box, and click OK. Restart your device.

Well, afaik, it’s Windows mediaplayer, but due to lack of contineous support from MS on certain versions of the WK’s programming environment, changes were necessary in this respect. I’m talking about chamged for the 5.1 version, which was the last in the ‘old’ environment (again afaik)

So, be sure to have the latest (V 5.2 RC4) Beta installed

I’m sorry: I was away on holidays the last weeks and haven’t seen the forum for a while.

You add the video just bh drag it directly into the schedule?

IF the video plays well in VLC then you could look at the file VideoExtensions.txt in <EasySlidesData>\Admin\Settings

    Mine looks as follows:

    .asx
    .avi
    .dvr-ms
    .ifo
    .m3u
    .mpeg
    .mpg
    .m1v
    .mp2
    .mpa
    .mpe
    .vob
    .wax
    .wmx
    .wmv
    .wpl
    .wvx
    .flv
    .mp4

If not solvng anything: In the latest Beta it is possible to export the whole schedule to a zip file which can be stored and shared to any orther similar ES installation, independent of installed databases, bibles ec.
IF you do so and create a wetransfer link to it, I can have a look. At least we’re then talking about the same files

    Hi,
We are using this feature constantly: Our setup is a bit different: we use 3 camera’s and also a video switcher For the switcher EasySlides functiones as camera 4 and 5: The normal live screen and a subtitle screen on green background.
The colour of the background can de determined by a colorpicker or look on the internet for the color code of the choosen color (see https://docwiki.embarcadero.com/RADStudio/Sydney/en/Colors_in_the_VCL). This value can be entered in the switcher in order to exclude every pixel with this colr of the merged stream (Live and our subtitles). You absolutrly can’t tell the difference 😉
During the service we use most of the time a black background, which can be merged with e.g. the hands of the organ player or subtitiles during the readings and band. We experimented with outline(thickniss setting) of the font, which actually is an inline mechanism( : The white part becomes smaller), but so far the Arial black font, bold is the best readable.
The results can be viewed on Youtube, look for “westerkerk ermelo” and pick one sample under videos.

    Hi

Have you played with the “Show all headings” setting in the layout frame in the preview window?

    Hi

If you go to the settings, and select the stage screen, which you have set to Grid mode.
    So far so good.
Look at the Row of ions:
Probably the second last one is a red circle with a slash, meaning: No clock. If you tick this one, it can be changed to the 24-hoour clock, to be displayed on that particular screen only.

The Easyslides data folder is named ‘EasyslidesData’, so no space there 😉

    Hi Steve,

Have a look in the backgroundprocesses of the taskmanager. I think you will find there the remnant of a running part of the program.
I can’t help your core question.

    Hi Solong,

If you have the corresponding lyrics, which can projected as usual, then add the MP3 through the media field in the settings tab. When this schedule-item comes life, the mp3 starts playing, and you only have to advance the text slides on the right moment.
