Thanks. Got the video. So you are using single monitor mode. I will look into it. Thanks

Thanks for the video. Normally after you selected a video file, it will show the video length and play in the small windows automatically. In your case the length remained zero and the video did not play. It could either be the video file or Windows Media Player not set up. Please try the following:-
    1. Play the video file using Windows Media Player. It may need setup.
    2. It if plays, try selecting it again in Easyslides
    3. If it does not play then try and play it using a different Media Player.
    4. If a different Media player plays it then the video is fine
    5. If the video file is OK but still does not play in easyslides, re-encode it using the free version of VSDC from https://www.videosoftdev.com/.
    6. Then try and use the re-encoded version of the video in easyslides.

For v520RC3 I will add in code to prevent easyslides from crashing when selecting a video which does not play.

    Thanks

    Hi

I couldn’t replicate your problem. Selecting a video file works fine. Could you do more tests? Are you using a local drive, or a networked drive?

    Thanks

    Hi

I tried tried various scenarios based on your description but I could not replicate your issue. Every time I move to the next item, the focus will be returned to the output text pane which means you can use the keyboard arrow keys. Could you provide more info on the items you were moving between? Thanks

    Hi

    Thanks for the suggestions.

    Regarding:
    1. It would be great to have a setting for ad hoc Bible passages where the font size remains fixed regardless of the length of the verse.
    – The font size for each version of the Bible is set at Menu->Manage->Holy Bibles. So if the font size for a particular Bible version is set at 50, easyslides will try and display the verse using font size 50. If the whole verse cannot fit, easyslides will then reduce the font size to fit in the whole verse. As each verse is different in length, the font size may vary for each slide. You can reduce the font size to around 40 so that most of the verses displayed can fit into a screen without having to be reduced – this in effect is your fixed font size.

    2. It would be helpful to have a setting that indicates the book and verse while displaying Bible passages. For example: “(Genesis 1:1) In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”
    – In your example, if you enable “Show Heading”, “Genesis” will be display as a heading on the first. The verse number will be displayed as a superscript before the verse.

    3. + Even for shorter Bible verses, it would be great to have a setting that displays one slide at a time
    – Do you mean if you want to display Genesis 1:1-3, you want slide 1 to show v1 only, slide 2 v2 only, slide 3 v 3 only? You can actually achieve this effect by doing this:-
    – Select the first verse of a passage you want to read, eg for Genesis 1:1-3, you just select Genesis 1:1.
    – When that verse goes live, you will only see v1
    – Press the green down arrow key in the output pane and v2 will be displayed
    – Press the green down arrow key again v3 will be displayed

Thanks for pointing out about the “Rotate” and “Apply”. Just to confirm the Rotate refers to the Rotate tab on the Main Window and the “Apply” refers to the Settings Form?

Easyslides uses Windows Media Player control to play media. So try playing it using Windows Media Player to make sure it plays. Then try again in easyslides, and at the output pane, make sure the speaker icon is not muted and also the volume control is up.

Hi Ralph. It could be because the sound is muted. Try this:-
    1. Select the item on the source pane.
    2. In the middle pane select the settings tab.
    3. Tick the “Use individual settings” checkbox.
    4. Click Media
    5. Make sure the Mute checkbox is unticked.
6, click OK and go live.

Hi Gerald. Sorry but sharing the data file directly on cloud networks such as onedrive is not possible. However, in v5.2 RC1 it is possible to export a schedule from one computer and import it into a second computer.

    Details about v5.2 RC1 is at:- https://www.easyslides.com/main/v5/52beta/

So in your situation, install v5.2 RC1 on your home computer and on the church computer. Then at your home computer, set up the schedule with lyrics, videos, Bible verses, etc. as if you were at the church computer. Export the schedule and save it to usb (or onedrive?). On the day of worship, at your church computer import the package you had exported from your home computer. The imported schedule will be a replica of what you had set up at home, with any associated media and image files. The only limitation is that Bible passages are converted to Infoscreens and therefore you cannot progress beyond the referenced Bible passages with the up/down arrow keys.

However, in v5.2 RC2 to be released shortly, there will be an option for the imported Infoscreens with Bible passages to be converted back to actual Bible Passages so long as import computer has the same Bibles (names) as your home computer.

Hope the above helps in your situation.
