Firstly, thank you for a great product. I used V4 for many years and have been excited to see many of the new features you have added in V5.

I’ve one feature I’ve used at times in the old version was the ability to put live video behind the words. I’ve noticed that when I start the presentation the video doesn’t appear straight away, I can get around this by turning on and back off the “Live Cam” (a pain but not insurmountable if fixing it is a problem).
What is more of a problem is that if anything strays onto the second screen the video will disappear behind it, including PowerPoint presentations that I have waiting for later and even the Taskbar (which admittedly I would not normally have on a projection screen). In V4 Easyslides would just force itself over the top which was really useful. It would be nice if something like this could be made possible again.

    Thanks,

    Sam

    Hi Sam

There does seem to be a delay in the video playing when compared to v4 but I can’t trace the issue. An old Windows Media Player interop is used along with a Windows hack for transparency. They could be causing a delay in newer versions of Windows. They can’t be replaced in easyslides 5 though.

Regarding forms appearing in-between, a current form can be dragged and be seen in between but it also happens in v4. In v4 the live display will always stay on top when no video is being played. However, that caused a lot of issues in single monitor mode when users tried to use certain keys. So in v5, there is no longer a lock on the live output which means other windows can move across it instead of behind it.

    Hope the above clarifies.
