    Hello,

I’ve downloaded and started using Easyslides 5 on a new PC laptop but I’ve been using it before on another laptop (both Windows 10). All was going well until I tried to add a media background. I was trying to add an mp4 video as a motion background. The exact same files I used on the other PC which worked perfectly keeps crashing Easyslides 5 on this PC. Help?

    Hi gailm21

Does it happen with other media files as well on your new PC? Can you try renaming the file and see it it works?

    Thanks

    Hello,

Yes, it does. It happens even after renaming the file but it doesn’t crash when it’s only an image.

Hi. I can’t replicate the problem you are getting. Could you download v510RC5 at https://www.easyslides.com/main/v5/releasecandidate/ and see if you still have the same problem? Thanks

    Hi,

Yes, unfortunately. I still have the same problem on V5.1

    Hi

It is hard to pinpoint exactly where your problem is. One thing you can try and do is to delete your user profile and your schedule so that easyslides can create a new one for you. Close down easyslides first before deleting them.

    The user profile is at:-
    …\Documents\EasyslidesData\Admin\UserProfiles
Just delete the file in there

    The schedules are located at:-
    …\Documents\EasyslidesData\Admin\Schedules
Just delete all the schedules in there

None of your lyrics or Bibles are deleted by the above.

Is there any solution for this? I’ve tried any video format. Also tried the latest Beta (5.02). Still Easyslides will crash when using video as background.
