KeymasterDo you have a sound file or a video file which is not playing with sound during a live show? Could you explain more?
wk
KeymasterTry downloading the 5.2 beta2 at https://www.easyslides.com/main/v5/52beta/ and see if it converts. Dont’t forget to rename/delete the new EasyslidesData folder on your second computer so that easyslides will give you the option to convert.

KeymasterHi
After you select the song in the source area, the preview will be shown in the middle pane. At the bottom of the middle pane, click on the settings tab, then tick the individual settings tick box. You can now change font, colour, etc settings for the selected song.

KeymasterJust to confirm that for the upcoming v5.2beta2:-
1- On (General sittings – screens- Stage Display – Grid Mode) data panel on stage screen not showed.
– Stage displays will have option to show Display Panel2- On (General sittings – screens- Stage Display – Grid Mode) ability to change fonts OR at least using same font of Live Screen.
– Stage Display Grid Mode Will follow Live screen font3- Clock show, should leave as last usage, it is return to (No Clock) after restart Easyslides.
– The last clock usage will be stored and recalled on startup.4- Clock show, it’s better to use PC-time format.
– Will not be applied because of structure and cultural differences5- On (General sittings – screens- Stage Display- Main font size line) ToolStripButtons 1& 2 not functioned probably
– Could not replicate problemwk
KeymasterHi Hany Mikhail
Thanks for reporting the error. Although the error is “out of memory”, it is not a memory issue as I was able to trace the problem to a Windows resourcing issue. I have come up with a fix and will apply it in v5.2beta2 which will be released shortly.
wk
KeymasterRegarding 4- Clock show:
I have investigated this and it can get complicated because of the way time is stored in easyslides and accessing/using the cultural time format on a user’s PC. I will just have to leave the clock format as is.

KeymasterHi Pastor Hany Mikhail
Thanks for the very helpful comments:-
1- data panel: I will look into it and see if it is viable to do.
2- Stage font: This seems to be a bug. It should be using the font of Live Screen. I will fix it for v5.2Beta2.
3- Clock show last usage: Good idea, I will get it done for v5.2Beta2.
4- Clock show format: Good idea but it will require investigation
5- Stage Display Main font size line: If this is for Bold and Italics – they work fine on my system. Could you check again? Thanks

KeymasterThanks for the video of the problem. I couldn’t replicate the problem though. Please let me know if you find a way to reproduce it. Thanks.
wk
KeymasterCould you try the new beta version to see if it works for you? Go to the easyslides website and click on the menu item 5.2 beta.
wk
KeymasterYou can try changing the overall background to some lighter colour. or just use small shadow but don’t use outline.

KeymasterHi ICoverdale
I have looked into this but I can’t replicate your issue. The largest font option does work under individual settings in my tests.
Regarding your suggestions:-
1. That the font is not only sized so that the number of lines fit on a slide but also the width
My response: When a given text is loaded, the text are firstly divided into verses, and then further subdivided into slides depending on the font size selected. When largest font is selected, the text in each slide is expanded to the largest font possible within the display area’s width and height. So the width is already taken into account.2. That the calculated large font size is applied to all slides in the song so that there are not sudden font size changes from verse to verse. This is particularly a problem with a song with long verses but a short chorus
My response: I have looked into this good suggestion but for performance reason, it can’t be implemented. An item loaded for display already undergoes a lot of pre-processing and going through all slides to calculate a common font size may slow the display of the item, particularly if stage monitors are also used.wk
KeymasterFor the upcoming 5.2beta1, there will be a button in the editor to easily swap the 2 regions which hopefully should help you in some way.
wk
KeymasterThis bug will be fixed in the upcoming 5.2beta1

KeymasterThanks for the explanation but I am still not clear on the cause. Could you send me a copy of your database(s) so that I can test it out? The database files are in EasyslidesData\Admin\Databases.
If possible, could you also send me a zipped copy of your original v4 easislides folder at C:\EasiSlides. You will have to use 7-zip as windows zip cannot zip CJK characters.
Send them to info@easyslides.com by email or dropbox.
wk
KeymasterYour database probably contained extra lines but the slide was able to display them in v4. With v5 widescreen (instead of 3/4 ratio in v4) and the font size, the extra line spills into the next screen. Try reducing the default font size for the database (Menu->Manage->Databases) and see if it helps.
