I have traced the error to the date/regional format settings. There were some changes to the date formatting in easyslides v5.0.2 but it looks like it didn’t work with your particular settings. I will issue new version next week to fix the issue.

There does seem to be a delay in the video playing when compared to v4 but I can’t trace the issue. An old Windows Media Player interop is used along with a Windows hack for transparency. They could be causing a delay in newer versions of Windows. They can’t be replaced in easyslides 5 though.

Regarding forms appearing in-between, a current form can be dragged and be seen in between but it also happens in v4. In v4 the live display will always stay on top when no video is being played. However, that caused a lot of issues in single monitor mode when users tried to use certain keys. So in v5, there is no longer a lock on the live output which means other windows can move across it instead of behind it.

Happy to let you know that the general alert has been enhanced in v502. The general alert box at the bottom of the screen will increase in size and lines to accommodate the text, right up to the top of the screen. The font will auto resize if it goes beyond the whole screen. Any alerts which expands to more than one line will not be able to scroll though, and will just appear.

Happy to let you know that the subtitle positioning has been enhanced in v502.

Instead of top, middle and bottom, you will be able to specify a number between 0-100. 0 will place the subtitle at the bottom of the screen and increasing the number will move it upwards, right up to 100 for top of the screen. For the range 0-49, the number will define the position of the bottom line of the subtitle text (subtitle text will expand upwards from that location). For the range 51-100, the number will define the position of the top line of the subtitle text (subtitle text will expand downwards from that location). For the number 50, the subtitle will adjust itself to the centre of the screen.

Just to confirm that in v502 you will be able to remove the default image subfolders permanently.

Regarding the 2 issues:-

1. In the media tab, I can select a folder, but if I then select a sub folder I go right back to the top level. – This bug will be fixed in v502

2. If I change the Media Files location in the settings, it reverts back to the old location when the program restarts. I can see the xml file in EasyslidesData > Admin > UserProfiles is changing, but then when the program starts up, it reverts back. Other settings can be changed and stay in the xml file, but this one does not. – This bug will be fixed in v502

Just to inform you that in v502 there will be an option to disable Region 2 Bible and so Region 1 Bible dropdown box will stretch across the whole tab. The books dropdown will now stretch across the tab (along with the buttons) and so you will be able to see more of the book title.

Just to confirm the following issues will be fixed in v502:-

Issue – I cannot use F2 or F3 to blank screen or clear text, screen just flashing. But when i click blank icon it works. FIXED
Issue – Video background on second monitor not stretched fit, so when small video displayed only at small size not like the old version. FIXED

On the issue that converting song database from old version not included song numbering. I could not replicate the error. Conversion works fine in my tests.
