Hi. At the moment there is no manual because features were being updated. Now that it is settled in v5.1, I will get a simple manual drawn up and put it on the website.

    This refers to v5.1.

When you edit an item, the editor window appears. On the left side, you have the lyrics/text, which is for region one. On the right hand side, you have the text (if any) for region 2.

At region 2, you will notice a tab with the words “Region 2” and beside it, another tab with the words “Rotate Style”. Click the “rotate style” tab and you will see “Simple” and “Sequence”.

    Hi

    1. Edit the item you want to rotate
    2. Click the “Rotate style” tab beside the Region 2 tab.
    3. You can set a regular rotate gap under “Simple” or select sequence option to set custom times beside each slide (make sure you have set the sequence for the slides first)
    4. Save the file.
    5. Tick the “Enable Auto Rotate” in the “Rotate” tab (in the output pane on right hand side of main window).
    6. Go Live with the item.

Hi Marty. Easyslides 5 has not been tested on ARM but it is unlikely to be compatible as it is built using .NET 4.8 framework and uses some Windows x86 systems calls. Sorry.

Hi. Yes it can be done.

    On computer 1:-
    – Plug in your blank USB (or no EasyslidesData folder present)
    – Start easyslides v5, then select Tools->Relocate EasyslidesData Folder
    – When Relocate EasyslidesData Folder Window appears, click folder icon and navigate to the USB drive (at the top level, no need to go into a subfolder).
    – Ensure “Copy All data to the new location” is clicked.
    – Click OK
    – When relocate is done, there will be a new EasyslidesData folder on your USB. Easyslides will close.

    On computer 2:-
    – Plug in that USB.
    – Start easyslides v5, then select Tools->Relocate EasyslidesData Folder
    – When Relocate EasyslidesData Folder Window appears, click folder icon and navigate to the USB drive. Don’t select the EasyslidesData folder but select the folder above it, ie. if you see F:/EasyslidesData, just select F:/.
    – UNTICK “Copy All data to the new location”.
    – Click OK
    – When relocate is done, easyslides will close.

When you start up easyslides on any of the two computers with the USB plugged in, it will point to the USB drive EasyslidesData Folder.

With v5.1, there is an additional functionality which lets you select a profile. Go to File->Select User Profile and select “Shared” for both computers (when the USB is plugged in).
This means any settings you set on one computer will be used on the other computer because you will be using the same profile (rather than the profile specific to each computer).

Hope the above is what you are looking for.

Just to add that an alternative from the above when using 5.1 is to set the File->Select User Profile and select “Shared” for both computers. Make sure both computers uses the same drive letter for the EasyslidesData folder. After you have set up all your schedule, etc at home, just copy the folder to the USB. Bring the USB to church and copy the USB content to the church computer overwriting the EasyslidesData folder. When you run easyslides on the church computer, it will pick up the “Shared” profile and should run the schedules, etc like the home computer.

Do many tests though before you go with it in case there are Windows setup differences between the two computers.

Hi bernluk. Thanks for the feedback. The sound will be suppressed in final version 5.1.

Hi. Thank you for your feedback. The layout was changed so that it could accommodate all the new functions. With v4 in the middle pane, when you click on settings you will not be able to see the text lyrics to navigate. So the text lyrics are always visible when you click settings, background images and use multicast. It will be very difficult to re-do the layout.

Hi songwai. From your image, I think you must have deleted all the databases. The selected database is blank and therefore when you try to create an item, there is no database to create it in. What you need to do is to go to Tools->Manage Databases and create a new database first, then you can create your item.

I will update the code to give a warning when that happens in RC6.

You can use the slideshow function. Group the images you want to display into a single folder and drag that folder into the schedule. Or you can use the “Add Slide Show to Schedule” button beside the schedule to add your folder. You can edit the slideshow item on the schedule to control its display behaviour. Under General Settings->Show->Slide Show Defaults you can set the default for new slides shows. When the slideshow item goes live, it will display each image based on your settings. A “rotate gap” of 0 means it does not rotate and you can manually click on the image you want to display.

If instead you were just looking to put individual image as an individual items then you will have to create a blank item and set the image as background.

    Hi

It is hard to pinpoint exactly where your problem is. One thing you can try and do is to delete your user profile and your schedule so that easyslides can create a new one for you. Close down easyslides first before deleting them.

    The user profile is at:-
    …\Documents\EasyslidesData\Admin\UserProfiles
Just delete the file in there

    The schedules are located at:-
    …\Documents\EasyslidesData\Admin\Schedules
Just delete all the schedules in there

None of your lyrics or Bibles are deleted by the above.
