Region 1 will add a blank linespace if region 2 has more lines

Good day. Just tried 5.2RC4. My setup is chinese font and text in region 1 and english in region 2. Chinese is limited to 1 line, english can be 2 lines max. When english text has 2 lines, there will be a blank linespace in between the chinese and english. I’ll send the screen shots to your email. Also, in another setup, where region 1 is english having 1 to 3 lines and region 2 is chinese having 1 to 2 lines. As long as region 2 has more lines than region 1 in a slide, it will add a blank linespace in between lyrics of region 1 and 2. Thank you

Hi. There was a code change in RC4 to fix an issue with the previous RC3. What happened was that in situations when the last line in region 1 is displayed, then all the other extra lines in region2, eg in your example 2 lines, will be squeezed into the space – and the font can become quite small and not legible.

If you do want to display all two extra lines in region 2, then it would be best to combine the two lines into a line. This change applies to both regions. Hope this not does create a problem for you but the change in coding had to be made.

In the next release, I will add a user-selectable option in settings to display dual region extra lines together which will remove the blank linespace in between lyrics of region 1 and 2.
